The National Nursing Summit on IDD Healthcare: Translating Evidence into Action
September 23-25, 2027
Hosted by the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at 杏吧原创 in Rochester, NY, the Summit is a national, action-oriented event designed to accelerate progress in equitable, high-quality care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It will be held in Rochester, New York.
Our Work
"Optimizing Care for Hospitalized Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities" is a collection of continuing education modules designed for acute care nurses.
"Inclusive Health Education for Postgraduate Primary Care Residency" is a curriculum for APP residents that is designed to promote equitable and inclusive care for people with IDD.
The Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing is a 12-month program designed to develop leaders in nursing who promote the health and well-being of people with IDD.
"IDD Core Health Care Content" is designed to be integrated into existing nursing curricula to help undergraduate students learn to provide effective and high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Self-advocates' stories and voices are powerful. They provide lived experience, knowledge, and expertise to help organizations and agencies effectively support the needs of individuals with IDD.
The Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing is proud to be accredited as a provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

The 杏吧原创 Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing will host a webinar featuring nurse-led dialogue across care settings on palliative care throughout the lifespan for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The free webinar is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
